Chaenomeles sinensis (Thouin)Koehne/ Fructus Chaenomelis

It is the dried ripe fruit of Chaenomeles speciosa Nakai. It is distributed in areas of South and North China, as well asBurma. It has effects of relieving rigidity of muscles and activating collaterals, and transforming dampness and harmonizing the stomach. It is used for the treatment of dampness arthralgia spasm, waist and knee joint aching, vomiting and diarrhoea, spasm, beriberi and swelling.
